and so it goes....

Currently I am sitting in my 5th period class and they are struggling over a test on the American Revolution. Maybe I'm wrong, but I have known some of this stuff so long I think I was born knowing it! It not only surprises me, but depresses me as to how little my students actually know about their county's history. It makes me grateful that Mom and Dad always allowed us to satisfy our curiousity about things by exposing us to places of history. I never realized how much that year in New Jersey was going to affect my life today...

Remember the day we spent driving around looking for Molly Pitcher's well? I too loved the time we spent in New Jersey. I only wish we'd been able to live there even longer and do more exploring.

I tell my kids about that day every year...I also tell them about our trip to Basto and my cast iron stove graduation gift from there...

I felt so lucky for the time my family had in PA. Unfortunately most of the kids were too young to really remember a lot. I'll bet they all remember the smell of Hershey's streets. You have got to to a trip to the Mercer Museum in Doylestown one day. It has got to be one of the most incredible well kept secret places in America. I pay money to anyone who takes Jed on vacation.
